BC Real Estate seals two food warehouse sales

The consultant has agreed deals to sell two properties including a 34,000 sq ft unit in Trafford Park which has changed hands for £3.2m.

London-based Romandini UK has agreed a deal to buy the unit from Cranswick Continental Foods in a deal which concluded within two weeks of the property hitting the market. The unit currently has a specialist temperature-controlled fit-out, and Romandini’s deal represents a price of around £94/sq ft.

Gary Chapman, director at BC Real Estate, said: “We were delighted to be given the opportunity to dispose of this high profile, high specification building. The price and the speed at which a sale was agreed obviously reflected the level of fit out but also the underlying fundamentals of the building and its location”.

The company has also agreed the sale of a similar 10,000 sq ft on Greengate in Chadderton to Master Autoglass for an undisclosed price. John Barton of BC Real Estate added: “The purchaser in this instance does not intend to use the food grade fit out. To achieve such a high price demonstrates the quality of the building and location and the current demand for freehold property.

“These units can be tricky to dispose of and so it’s important you take the right approach.”
