Barwood signs Capita near airport

Landlord Barwood has agreed a 10,000 sq ft letting to Capita at the former Greencourts Business Park, now renamed Manchester Green.

Capita already occuped two floors of Building 04 and has now taken the top floor which extends to 10,205 sq ft at a rent of £15/sq ft.

Barwood North, headed by ex-Patrick Properties MD Andrew Dickman, acquired the 107,000 sq ft office scheme near Manchester Airport from Standard Life Investments for an undisclosed sum in June 2013.

Barwood is undertaking a comprehensive remodelling and landscaping of the entire business park. In addition the speculative refurbishment of Building 05 began earlier this month which will result in 18,643 sq ft of new offices.

Andrew Dickman, director of Barwood, said: "We are delighted that Capita have committed to additional accommodation at Manchester Green and are confident that the comprehensive changes and investment on the park will mean that further letting announcements will be made during the course of 2014."

Canning O'Neill is the retained letting agent on Manchester Green and Savills is the managing agent and project manager. Space Invader is the retained design consultant.
