Barton Willmore hires from Turley, NJL
The planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore has appointed director Greg Dickson and associate Nicole Roe, from Turley and NJL Consulting respectively.
Dickson worked at Turley for 10 years, and specialises in the promotion of large housing schemes, the delivery of town and city centre projects, as well as advising on logistics schemes and strategic transport infrastructure.
He’s experienced at dealing with complex planning applications which involve compulsory purchase orders, such as Warrington Council on the Bridge Street Quarter, which was confirmed in September 2016.
Roe came from NJL Consulting with 11 years’ experience of retail planning within Manchester, advising retailers and developers including Peel Holdings and St Modwen, on single use schemes and large scale mixed-use developments.
Accompanying the new appointments, Steven Grimster, who has been with Barton Willmore since 2011, has been promoted to director. He has worked on major residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across large parts of Cheshire and Merseyside.
Manchester partner, Dan Mitchell said: “As the North West continues to develop and diversify, so must our team. I am delighted to promote Steven to director and welcome both Greg and Nicole, further enriching our planning team with sector diversity and regional knowledge. Between them, they bring a wealth of experience, which will complement and enhance our team, our clients and our practice capabilities.”
