Barnfield Centric on site with Rochdale warehouse

The joint venture between Barnfield Construction and Capital & Centric has started construction on a £3.4m 70,000 sq ft high-bay warehouse in Crown Business Park.

An as-yet-unnamed occupier has been secured for the unit, and has purchased the land from the joint venture in a £1.5m deal. The building will provide offices and warehousing for the business.

Completion of the facility is expected in 20 weeks and an allowance of 30,000 sq ft will be left to the side of the building for future expansion.

The joint venture obtained planning permission for the unit in summer of this year.

The 18-acre business park was launched in 2010 and is being developed according to occupier demand. The scheme secured £3.2m in European Regional Development Funding.
