Bardsley wins two contracts

Bardsley Construction has secured £3m of contracts from social housing providers Twin Valley Homes in Blackburn and First Choice Homes in Oldham to provide a total of 31 new homes.

The £1.7m contract for Twin Valley Homes is to build 14 houses and six bungalows at Gretna Road and Brookside, with completion due in summer 2014.

Bardsley also won a contract worth £1.3m to construct 11 three and four-bedroom houses in Milne Street, Oldham for First Choice Homes, with completion also due this summer.

Bardsley was recently appointed to provide 35 new homes in Liverpool for housing association Cobalt Housing. The £3.1m contract involves the design, construction and completion of new build bungalows and two, three and four-bed houses and apartments, with access road on sites in Regal Road and Sceptre Road, Croxteth.

Ged Rooney, procurement director at Bardsley Construction, said: "We have worked hard to establish a major and reputable presence in the provision of social housing throughout the North West and further afield and these key contracts continue and enhance that as we move into 2014."
