Bardsley appoints new finance director
Steve Purkis has joined construction firm Bardsley Group from Resource Group, a business services outsourcing company, where he was group finance director.
He previously held senior financial positions with ISG, Carillion, MITIE and Compass. Wayne Bardsley, executive chairman of Bardsley Construction, said: “Steve has a vast amount of experience and is a very welcome addition to our board. He has a key role to play in the ongoing financial development of Bardsley Construction.”
Bardsley has secured £55m in forward orders for 2010 in public sector and private housing schemes including developments at Dukinfield Golf Club, the Boatyard at Worsley and King Edward Court at Hyde.
The Dukinfield-based firm has an £80m turnover and employs 250 people.
