Barclaycard launches pre-let search

Barclaycard has retained surveyors Jones Lang LaSalle to help select a developer and site for a new 150,000 sq ft office building in or around Kirkby, Knowsley.

The company is currently based on Norwich Way in Kirkby town centre. A long-list of developers has already presented to Barclaycard and JLL but no short-list has been released. The search is being conducted under the name Operation Turner.

The 1,000-acre Knowsley Industrial Park and adjacent Knowsley Business Park, outside Kirkby town centre, boast an impressive list of developer-landowners: Orbit, St Modwen, Ashtenne, Priority Sites, Langtree, Charles Topham and Spencer Holdings among them.

Barclaycard operates a payment collection call centre from Kirkby. All parties declined to comment.
