Banks reshuffle at Marsden Street

HBOS has sub-let the ninth floor of No. 1 Marsden Street in Manchester city centre to the business banking division of Bank of Ireland as it prepares to consolidate at its new office in 40 Spring Gardens.

Bank of Ireland already occupies the tenth floor and will use the new space, totalling 6,045 sq ft, to expand its Manchester operation. The rental on the 15-year lease is around £25/sq ft.

King Sturge acted for Bank of Ireland and Knight Frank acted for HBOS. HBOS is set to move into Langtree's 40 Spring Gardens shortly.
