BAM’s £13m Stockport offices nearly finished

Stockport-based BAM Properties said its £13m 50,000 sq ft speculative office development at St Peter's Square will complete in June.

BAM claims the building is the first Grade A space to be developed in the town for at least five years.

The five-storey scheme, part of the redevelopment of St Peter's Square into a new cultural quarter, will contain floor plates of 12,000 sq ft above 2,700 sq ft of restaurant/showroom space.

Neil Mort, development manager for BAM Properties, said: "Occupiers in the Stockport area have never had a great deal of choice of high quality office space but this development is set to change that. Stockport is an affluent town and has a skilled workforce. It is in a fantastic location, near junction 1 of the M60, 10 minutes from central Manchester and is a high profile site on one of the busiest A roads in the UK."

The self-built project is set to achieve a BREEAM 'excellent' rating. Edwards & Co and GVA Grimley are the joint letting agents.
