Baker Barnett joins Zerum

Manchester consultancy Zerum has hired Deborah Baker Barnett as an associate in its planning team.

Baker Barnett joins from Iceni with extensive experience in a wide range of local authority and private sector projects.

Nikki Sills, divisional director of Zerum’s Manchester office, said “Zerum Planning’s growing workload enabled us to expand our Manchester planning team.

“Deborah brings with her experience in a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects and we are excited to welcome her to the team”

Projects that the Zerum team has and continue to work on include Infinity in Liverpool, St Michael’s in Manchester, Middlewood Locks in Salford and Thorpe Park in Leeds.

Prior to joining Iceni, Baker Barnett worked at Ruth Jackson Planning. Her portfolio of public sector work includes roles with Salford City Council and Cheshire East, where she was involved in drafting the Local Plan, including public consultation and site allocations.

She sits on the regional committee of Women in Property and the North West committee of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation; and is an RTPI assessor.
