Aztec recruits five

Fit-out firm Aztec has recruited five new members to its Liverpool and Manchester branches to strengthen the team.

 David Hall of AztecDavid Hall joins as business development manager and has over 35 years in the industry, having previously worked for Connaught and Medlock Interiors. Hall will be based in the Manchester office.

Tom Downie joins as senior project manager in Manchester with over 20 years in the fit out and construction industry with Bowmer & Kirkland And Nobles Construction. Downie has already managed his first contract at Cross Street in Manchester and is currently working on his next, which is a Pizza Hut outlet in Telford.

 Simon Stott of AztecSimon Stott joins as head of social housing Kinetics. Stott has over 30 years in the industry and has experience of all aspects of social work including clients, management and liaison with all parties. Stott will manage various social schemes for Aztec as well as working towards submitting tenders for future works.

Phil Miles joins as site manager in Manchester, having previously worked as a self-employed sub-contractor for Aztec and will work under the guidance of Downie.

Gemma Dennis joins as an office administrator having previously worked with various architectural practices.

Rob Maxwell, managing director at Aztec, said: "Following recent contract wins and after review of our project pipelines, we have started to see an uplift in the market. Never the type of firm to sit back, we have decided to head hunt these senior managers from a variety of backgrounds to ensure we maintain the momentum of our growth plans. These key figures all in their own right have excellent skill sets and will be an asset to both the business and our customers."
