Aztec completes second revamp at Lexicon Building

The Manchester and Liverpool-based fit-out contractor has completed a refurbishment of office space on the sixth floor of the Lexicon Building in Manchester city centre.

WHR Property Consultants, which occupies an office on the ninth floor of the building on Mount Street, appointed Aztec last year to refurbish office space on the eighth floor.

The floor was divided into two suites, totaling 4,000 sq ft, while the sixth floor consists of 5,937 sq ft across one floor. All spaces remain vacant.

Aztec said the latest refurbishment took five weeks to complete, after competing against five companies for the contract, and is due to start a refurbishment of the reception area.

Rob Maxwell, Aztec managing director, said: "I believe 2011 could well be the year of the Lexicon, with the infrastructure and facilities all being within touching distance of this prominent building. It's now going to have a lot of people talking."

The building is owned by Pugh Davies Properties and was formerly known as Television House.

The project cost was not disclosed. WHR Property Consultants is the retained agent on the Lexicon Building.
