Aztec completes One Vision Housing refurb

Fit-out specialist Aztec has finished a £2.5m contract for One Vision Housing to design and refurbish five occupied sheltered housing schemes in the Merseyside area.

Aztec created hair salons, upgraded communal areas and guest suites in all schemes as well as refurbishing 200 homes.

Rob Maxwell, director of Aztec, said: "Although Aztec has often been thought of as just a fit-out specialist, we also specialise in a range of construction services and our work with OVH has illustrated this. Aztec has managed all aspects of the design and build process, including HSE and project planning and DDA compliance, as well as the full fit out of kitchens, flooring, ceilings, furniture and storage facilities.

"Social housing is a growth area for the company," Rob continues, "and we look forward to building on our success with OVH and continuing to expand within this sector in the future."

Steve Maddocks, investment team project manager at One Vision Housing, based in Bootle, said: "Aztec were provided with our briefing document in 2009, for the modernisation of sheltered scheme stock. They provided a thorough design and consultation service to all residents within each scheme. The overall service provided was excellent and the end product was positively received by residents and OVH management."
