Axi opens in Manchester

Architectural and interior design company Axi has launched on South King Street.

The three founding members are all from the city; architectural director Alex Brooks, creative director Sarah De-Freitas and managing director Freddie Evans.

Brooks and Evans previously worked together at IDL, where Evans was a director in the Manchester office, and Brooks an associate.

De-Freitas has merged her company De-Freitas Design with Axi, and heads up the interior division.

Projects Axi is working on includes two bar and restaurants in Spinningfields, expansions and new builds for The Light Cinema, a £7.5m private house in Cheshire.

Evans said: “I believe we bring a fresh and unique offering to the market. We are a collective of passionate individuals with varying skills from across the design industry. Together, we believe in producing work with purpose, projects with impact and exceeding the expectations of our clients.”
