Awards: Progress Housing, City West, A-Plant

Lancashire's Progress Care Housing Association won a national Tenant Participation Advisory Service Award for its work with tenants who have learning disabilities and mental health needs. The housing association, which manages nearly 4,000 homes across the UK, was announced as the winner of the Excellence in Working Together category for its Include Me In project at the Northern region finals in Manchester.

Warrington-based A-Plant was named hire company of the year at the Hire Association Europe Hire Awards of Excellence. A-Plant underwent a mystery shopping programme in order to demonstrate important criteria were being correctly applied and demonstrated to customers. The award was announced at a ceremony at the Savoy Hotel in London.

City West Housing Trust, which owns and manages 14,600 homes in West Salford, has secured the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for the quality of its investment programme, following an independent audit. The standard underlines the landlord's commitment to customer satisfaction and continual improvement, efficiency, risk management, legal compliance and commercial acumen in delivering its transformational investment programme. By the end of 2013, City West will have a completed a five-year, £235m programme to bring all its homes up to a decent, modern standard.
