Aviva adds 55 Spring Gardens to Manchester portfolio

Aviva Investors has acquired 55 Spring Gardens in Manchester, in an off-market transaction from CBRE Global Investors.

The 55,700 sq ft was fully refurbished by CBRE Global Investors in 2015. The office is spread across 10 floors, including a ground floor business lounge and two retail units. Tenants include Turner & Townsend.

Christian Anderton, from Aviva Investors Real Estate, said: “The acquisition of 55 Spring Gardens is directly aligned to our stated desire to expand our long-term presence in the Manchester market. 55 Spring Gardens presents us with another opportunity to build long-term relationships with northwest occupiers, including tech start-ups and other growing SME businesses, providing them flexibility, in an environment that promotes creativity and innovation.”

Aviva Investors was advised by Sixteen Real Estate. CBRE GI was advised by Zaman Roberts.
