Avison Young makes hat-trick of hires

The consultancy has appointed Alistair Greenhalgh, Lauren Verdi Bowker, and Demetri Papaioannou to its Manchester office.

Greenhalgh joins the firm as hotels director having most recently worked for Christie & Co.

He has 20 years’ experience in the sector having also previously worked for JLL and Lambert Smith Hampton.

Greenhalgh’s role at Avison Young will see him advise on disposals and acquisitions, as well as lease and management negotiations.

Papaioannou, who has spent the last five-and-a-half years at Roger Hannah, joins as an associate in the business rates team and Lauren Verdi Bowker, previously a building surveyor at GIA, has been appointed as a senior surveyor in Avison Young’s building consultancy team.

Chris Cheap, managing director and principal of Avison Young Manchester, said: “We recently announced 10 new promotions in the Manchester office and it’s brilliant to be able follow this up with the announcement of our three new starters.

Alistair, Demetri and Lauren bring a wealth of experience to the business and to our clients, which is invaluable. Despite the impact of the pandemic, we continue to ambitiously grow our Manchester-based team to offer the range of services that our clients are seeking.”
