The international consultancy, which gained its presence in the city with the takeover a year ago of WHR, has made a string of appointments.
Among the hires is Chris Severs, who joins as associate director in the professional team, advising on rates, leases and rent reviews. His appointment sees Gareth Buckley’s professional team boosted to 11. Severs has previously worked for Altus Edwin Hill.
Surveyor Glenn Taylor has joined the asset management team having previously run his own business and having worked with Scanlans for more than a decade. Taylor is said to have particular expertise in dealing with challenging management sites and was instrumental in obtaining positive outcomes of NHBC and Zurich Insurance claims for mixed-use developments in the region.
Joining Taylor in the eight-strong asset management team are Emma Dutton, who joins as administrator, and Ceryn Coughlin in the role of property accountant, who has previously worked in property management roles handling work for clients such as the Crown Estate and L&G.
Also joining the office is graduate surveyor Scott Meakin, who has previously worked in student investment, development, auctioneering and valuation and is now studying for his APC.
The appointments come as James Goode in the industrial team and Harry Skinner and Mark Cooke from the office agency team are all promoted from senior surveyor to associate director.
Managing director Mark Williams said: “The past year has been one of significant growth and expansion for the Manchester team and we are continually looking to recruit the best new talent, from industry and direct from university as well as promoting internally. Investing in our staff and strengthening key departments will help us to achieve our significant growth ambitions.”
