Austin-Smith:Lord to design education building

The Liverpool office of Austin-Smith:Lord has gained a £5.5m contract to design a new sixth-form centre in Accrington, Lancashire.

The new 25,000 sq ft education facility is an extension of St Christopher's Church of England School.

The architect firm will work in conjunction with London-based EC Harris to deliver the centre, which is due to be completed by June 2010.
