Auction raises £1.3m

Eddisons sold 33 out of 38 lots offered at its Manchester sale on 30 July.

A 19-bedroom former residential care home in Rhyl sold for £125,000. A tenanted industrial investment in Salford generating £14,534 a year sold for £65,500. Former garage premises in Clayton-le-Moors which could suit redevelopment subject to planning, sold for £39,000 off a guide of £20,000.

In the Rishton area of Blackburn, a vacant plot of land with development potential sold for £17,500, more than three times the advertised guide.

Residential stock in Accrington offered at guide prices from just £10,000 also proved popular, with only one of 16 properties failing to sell.
