Auction house moves to Great Sankey

Property company Langtree has let a 6,000 sq ft unit in Penketh Business Park to collectables and memorabilia specialist Omega Auctions.

The building in Great Sankey will become Omega's main auction room when it opens in January, and will replace Omega's current facility in Stockport.

Omega Auctions holds bi-monthly auctions for collectables and quarterly auctions for music memorabilia. Earlier this year, the company sold one of John Lennon's extracted wisdom teeth to a Canadian dentist for £23,000.

Karen Fairweather, director at Omega Auctions said: "The new auction house will allow us to take our company to the next stage and deliver better auctions in better surroundings. Our sales are of national and international significance so we needed a location that was easy to access, plenty of space and was of great quality.

"We have found both of these things and more in Warrington and are very much looking forward to bringing our sales to the town."
