Assura property director to leave role

Andrew Darke is to step down from his position at the primary care developer at the end of its financial year to pursue personal business interests.

Assura said that Darke, who has been with the Warrington-headquartered group for 14 years, will continue in his current role until the end of March 2018 and thereafter will work for the business in a reduced capacity as a consultant.

Jonathan Murphy, chief executive, said: “Andrew has played a key role in building the property team and in delivering the significant growth of the business, in particular, over the past five years.

“On behalf of the board I would like to express my gratitude to him for his significant contribution and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Darke added: “I am fortunate to have worked with a business that has had a positive impact on the UK’s health infrastructure, working alongside a quality management team and benefiting from a strong culture. I wish everyone involved with Assura continued success in the future.”

Earlier this week, Assura told the stock market that it remains in acquisitive mode, having picked up 75 sites in the last six months.
