Warrington-based healthcare property developer Assura has continued to build its team with two appointments this month, in addition to the arrival of chief financial officer Jayne Cottam.
Surveyors Jessica Malone and Katie Leather have both joined the portfolio management team supporting GP tenants around the country on property issues, as well as helping practices create new space, refurbish buildings and to maximise the impact of their surgery layout.
Malone’s previous experience includes a spell as a property management surveyor for Workman in Manchester, working on retail park and shopping centre assets. Leather has joined from Swinton with more than 20 years’ experience in the commercial property market, with particular expertise in the retail and office sectors.
Assura’s property director Andrew Darke said: “We’ve seen incredible growth in our portfolio management team this year and that’s because our top priority is our relationships with our GP tenants and the customer service we offer – it’s a hallmark of our business and we’re absolutely delighted to have Katie and Jessica joining the team.”
In the six months to 30 September, Assura acquired 75 medical centres for £154m.
Cottam arrived from Morris Homes in August to fill the vacancy created when Jonathan Murphy stepped up to become chief executive earlier this year. A qualified accountant, she was previously European finance director for European Metal Recycling.
