Ask reshapes Urmston phase two

Ask Developments has submitted revised plans for phase two of Eden Square in Urmston town centre to Trafford Council.

The number of residential units was reduced to 12 from 80 and the retail, of 42,000 sq ft has been reconfigured to allow for larger floorplates.

Members of the public and local businesses will have the opportunity to view the updated designs at an information display being held in Urmston Library from 1 to 30 September.

Tenants in phase one include Costa Coffee, Thorntons, Boots, Greggs, Hallmark, HD Studio and Sainsbury's.

The developer has recently completed the legal transaction with William Hill bookmakers who will start fitting out their new shop next week, and a further unit is under offer to a national footwear retailer.

Leon Guyett, development executive at Ask Developments, said: "Together with our partner, Trafford Council, we are committed to delivering a completed town centre scheme which will further enhance Urmston's reputation as an attractive and enjoyable place to live, work and shop."

The former Boots building has now been demolished to make way for phase two.

Savills and Tushingham Moore are joint letting agents on the scheme.
