Ask names two more tenants for Ashton

Ken Knott's Ask Developments has announced two new lettings at its St Petersfield mixed-use scheme in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside.

Shaw Trust and TNG have taken 8,000 sq ft between them within the first phase, where 22,000 sq ft is already home to Pennine Care NHS Trust's headquarters.

Shaw Trust, a national charity that provides training and work opportunities for disadvantaged and disabled people, has taken 4,598 sq ft of space on the ground floor of the building, as part of the Government's Pathways to Work programme to help people off benefits and into work across Great Manchester East and West.

TNG is a national company that offers recruitment and business support to people returning to work. It will take 3,770 sq ft of space over three floors within the rotunda at the front of the building, overlooking the revamped Henry Square for its staff of 14.

Jonathan Baucher, associate at joint letting agent Cushman & Wakefield, said: "In this current market it is really pleasing to have two lettings within a short space of time. This really highlights the confidence that people have in the St Petersfield scheme and the area of Ashton."

The St Petersfield development will provide 280,000 sq ft of office space with retail and leisure amenity facilities totaling 400,000 sq ft.

The 13-acre scheme is partly funded by the North West Development Agency, English Partnerships and European Regional Development Fund.

Lambert Smith Hampton and Cushman & Wakefield are joint letting agents.
