Art store opens at Liverpool ONE

Grosvenor has announced that independent art supplies retailer Cass Art has opened its first outlet in the North West in Liverpool ONE, in a 4,700 sq ft unit in School Lane.

The new Liverpool ONE store stocks Cass Art's full range of art supplies. In addition, it has space available both for local artists to exhibit and for children and families to participate in creative workshops.

The unit formerly occupied by Cath Kidston is next to Liverpool art gallery The Bluecoat.

Miles Dunnett, director of portfolio management at Grosvenor, said: "Cass Art is an exciting addition to Liverpool ONE, connecting perfectly with the city's vibrant artistic heritage. Their opening also reflects our strategy of promoting key independent brands that add real theatre and engagement to Liverpool ONE."

Cass Art is the latest brand to join Liverpool ONE's line-up, with Michael Kors and Cote both opening in the last six months, along with Zara's 27,000 sq ft regional flagship.

Earlier this week Grosvenor announced a 15% increase in year-to-date sales at Liverpool ONE compared to the same period in 2014, with the new additions to the line-up playing a central role. Footfall so far this year is also up by 4% compared to last year.

Sales across the key categories of clothing, accessories and jewellery were up by 20%.
