Games Workshop and Clinton Cards will relocate to larger units in the Manchester shopping centre after agreeing new 10-year leases.
Games Workshop, the fantasy board games and miniatures retailer, has been long-established in the shopping centre on a first-floor unit next to Boots and below the food court.
With its new lease, it will be relocating to a 1,900 sq ft unit on Corporation Street.
Similarly, Clinton Cards has signed a lease until 2029 and will be opening a new larger store of 2,100 sq ft opposite its existing outlet on New Cannon Street on 3 August.
The Arndale is jointly owned by M&G Real Estate and Intu, and the retained agents are Time Retail Partners and Metis Real Estate.
Colin Flinn, regional managing director at Intu, said: “Manchester Arndale continues to attract a range of national and international retailers but ensuring that our tenants are in the right size units and in the right locations is also a key part of our growth strategy.
“Having worked closely with Clintons and Games Workshop to find units that suit their future needs, we are delighted that both retailers have signed new leases at Manchester Arndale, following a strong first half to the year at the centre.”
Phil Lomas, property manager at Games Workshop, added: “Having successfully traded from our current location in Manchester Arndale for over 18 years we are delighted to have secured a more prominent unit which will allow Games Workshop to continue to grow and develop our hobby in Manchester.”
