Armani store opens at The Avenue

The two-level Armani store at The Avenue in Manchester city centre opened for business on Saturday.

The long awaited opening of the 7,900 sq ft store, being shared by Armani brands Emporio Armani and Armani Collezioni, which will be based on the top floor, will be followed by the opening of a number of fashion brands in the retail element of Allied London's Spinningfields development.

The store was handed over in April this year for the retailer to start shop-fitting. Armani signed up as anchor tenant to the scheme in 2009.

Retailers such as Flannels, Mulberry, Brooks Brothers, Ermenegildo Zegna, Oliver Sweeney and Joseph have also signed up to the scheme.
