Arley wins consent in Lancashire

Acting on behalf of Arley Homes North West, Manchester-based HOW Planning has secured planning for a 20-unit development in Heath Charnock, Chorley.

The development site is currently occupied by manufacturer Weldbank Plastics but surrounded by residential properties.

Jon Suckley, associate at HOW Planning, said: "It is our client's vision to create a high quality, development, which will complement the existing surroundings. The site is surrounded by established residential areas which will benefit from Arley Homes' plans to replace the outdated buildings with a new housing scheme."

Plans incorporate the construction of 20 new family homes with all associated access, car parking and surrounding landscaping.

The site is well served by public transport with Adlington train station and several bus routes within easy walking distance.

Adlington centre, which is one of Chorley's largest urban areas, is also within easy walking distance of the site and has a range of shops, services and amenities.

Chris Kershaw from Arley Homes adds: "The new homes outlined in our proposal will add to the community in Heath Charnock helping to support local businesses and services. Approval of the planning application enables us to progress with the scheme and move the development to the next stage."
