Arley strengthens buying team

Warrington-based Arley Homes has appointed Andy Morgan, former land director of McInerney Homes North West, as its new land manager.

Morgan has 30 years' experience in the industry, including a spell at Persimmon prior to McInerney. At Arley, Morgan will be responsible for pursuing residential opportunities across the North West. Arley was founded in 2005 by John Cosgrave after leaving Linden Homes and has continued to buy and build throughout the downturn, funded by Yorkshire Bank.

McInerney Homes and several related companies were put into administration in spring 2011.

Morgan said: "Arley has an excellent reputation within the house building industry and a strong pipeline of development opportunities across the North West. I'm looking forward to working with an already successful team and getting stuck into the role of further developing our land portfolio."

Arley MD Cosgrave added: "Andy is a fantastic addition to our team with a wealth of experience and expertise. He will play a crucial role in our continued investment in the land department and wider activity in seeking out new development sites across the North West.

"Arley's strong sales record and financial position present us with a good opportunity to pursue new acquisitions. Andy's involvement further supports the expansion of this side of the business which is so important for the growth and development of the company in the future."
