Arley acquires Preston site
Warrington-based Arley Homes has acquired a 1.25 acre site for a development of 13 new luxury homes in Fulwood, Preston.
Arley purchased the site from a private owner for an undisclosed sum. Construction is due to start immediately, with the development being launched for sale and reservations taken from spring this year.
The development, known as The Maples, will feature four and five bedroom detached properties close to the northern edge of the city on Lightfoot Lane.
John Cosgrave, managing director for Arley Homes, said: "We have remained acquisitive during the last year thanks to a combination of a supportive banking partner and robust property sales. This time last year we identified Lancashire as an area into which we wanted to expand and so we are particularly pleased to have secured our third successful planning approval in the county in 12 months."
This latest acquisition is Arley's first in Preston and follows recent purchases in Chorley, with The Meadows at Coppull and The Birches at Charnock Richard.
More unaffordable housing for the first time buyer!

Plenty of it around Alan, lack of mortgage availability is the problem.

Where!!!!!! and I mean affordable, how can a person earning minimum wage afford to BUY a home and live! Never mind thinking about a mortage that would take up the majority of your weekly/monthly wage.
