Architecture tour part of Light Night arts festival

Liverpool Architecture Society is hosting walking tours of the city centre as part of the one-off Light Night arts festival in May.

The evening of arts and culture on Friday 14 May has been arranged to coincide with the European Union's Museums at Night festival taking place at venues across Europe.

The one-hour architecture tours will take in buildings within the World Heritage Site: Oriel Chambers, The Three Graces, Martins Bank Building, the Town Hall and ending at the Pier Head.

Other events on the night include:

FACT – Disco dance marathon plus the Art of 3D with Sparkle

Walker Art Gallery – open until 10.30 pm providing the first viewing and special talks of the new exhibition by Toulouse-Lautrec 'High Kicks and Low Life' with accordion music and French food and wine in the Walker café.

Bluecoat – contemporary Craft and Art Market, delicious barbecue, music and comedy

Radio City Tower/St John's Beacon – special chance to experience spectacular evening views of the city

59 Rodney Street – nocturnal tour of Mr Hardman's unique time capsule of Liverpool life in the mid 20th century. The Georgian terraced house is the former studio and home of the photographer E. Chambre Hardman.
