Architect promotes three in Liverpool

Austin-Smith:Lord has promoted one member of its Liverpool office to partner and two to director level as it continues to expand.

Maggie Mullan, becoming a partner, worked on the new £98m campus for Stockport College, Liverpool John Moores University city campus masterplan, the new Barbara Daley Hair Salon in Liverpool, the Pendleton & Eccles Primary Care Centres, and the restoration of Mossley Hill Parish Church. Mullan is a member of Tate Council and was the first female president of the Liverpool Society of Architects.

Andrew Smith, a planner and urban designer, becomes director. He specialises in the education sector and is currently involved with the new Llandaff Campus masterplan at the University of Wales in Cardiff, the redevelopment of Birkenhead College and the masterplan framework for Carmarthenshire College.

Also promoted to director is Richard Cronin, an architect, who works on transport projects and was involved with Blackburn Railway Station, Oldham West Street Bus station and GMPTE Phase 3a Metrolink in Manchester.
