Archer Architects relocates to Citibase

Architecture practice Archer has moved from its former offices in Newton Street to a loft space in 40 Princess Street, following the promotion of Phil Hopkins to lead the Manchester office.

Archer has a team of seven in Manchester with plans to grow over the next year. The practice also has a Hertfordshire office with which it collaborates on all projects.

Hopkins has been with Archer for seven years, and was promoted recently to director and head of the Manchester office.

The move follows a series of new client wins for the practice.

The studio has recently submitted a planning application for an £8m Premier Inn hotel in Blackpool, working alongside Zerum. New commissions include two residential-led mixed-use developments in Manchester city centre, as well as working with developers on mixed-use, retail and residential projects across the country.

Archer was established in 1993. It has delivered a range of projects including listed buildings, educational buildings, and retail developments.
