Arcadis hires Sweett director

Arcadis, the design and consultancy firm, has appointed Rob Sale as partner and office director for Manchester.

Sale was previously senior director responsible for Sweett Group’s operations across the North. He was joined at Arcadis by Chris Dunne, a colleague at Sweett.

He has been responsible for the delivery of projects including the redevelopment of the Manchester Arndale, the BBC North buildings at Media City UK, One New York Street and Citylabs. Most recently he led the cost management teams on the new engineering campus for the University of Manchester, St Johns masterplanning for Allied London and the listed building refurbishment and redevelopment programme for NOMA.

Sale commented: “I am extremely excited to be joining Arcadis to work with Allan [Hemphill] and the growing team of over 200 professionals in the office. The business has a client and people focused approach with the highest level of capability to really make a difference to clients in the successful delivery of their projects and programmes of work and I look forward to adding to their continued success.”

Arcadis was recently appointed to work on the Airport City Manchester development by Manchester Airports Group.
