Aps moves to Abney Hall

Events and media company Aps has taken 11,000 sq ft in Bruntwood's Abney Hall in Cheadle.

The 26,000 sq ft grade 2-listed building underwent a £1m refurbishment after it was vacated by previous tenant HP Enterprise Services in June 2012.

Aps is expected to move from its current offices in West Didsbury to Abney Hall in September.

Works are underway to reconfigure the remaining space in the property to offer small office suites.

Abney Hall was originally owned by the Victorian textile dealers, the Watts family. In the 1960s the building briefly became Cheadle Town Hall and was then used as the head office of owner Bruntwood.

Sharon Johnson, head of regional sales at Bruntwood, said: "Coming from a period property, Aps was looking for space that was individual, characterful and reflected its brand. Abney Hall presented the perfect space for them. Rooms in the building all come with their own unique features from period fireplaces, wood panelling to stained glass windows.

"We have a number of period properties within our portfolio and we strive to ensure they maintain their unique characters, whilst providing stunning working environments. Cheadle has always been a popular location both to live and work."

Edwards & Co and CBRE are the retained agents on Abney Hall.
