Approval for Ellesmere Port hotel

Cheshire West & Chester Council has granted outline planning permission for a mixed-use scheme, including a 120-bedroom hotel and 6,000 sq ft commercial space, in Rossmore Industrial Estate.

The 7-acre plot off Jackswood Avenue is owned by Peel Investments, and is allocated in the Ellesmere Port and Neston local plan as for employment uses.

The 60,000 sq ft development would include a pub restaurant, crèche, petrol station, and potentially a community room and fitness suite. There would be a total of 278 parking spaces.

The western part of the site at Rossmore Road East would be the location for the hotel, pub restaurant and crèche, while the Jackswood Road side would have a drive-thru restaurant and a petrol station.
