App builders move to Baltic Creative

Mobile application development studio, Apposing, has taken a unit at Baltic Creative in Liverpool's emerging digital and media enterprise district.

Apposing signed a two-year lease with the publicly funded landlord, Baltic Creative Community Interest Company, on a 548 sq ft studios on Jamaica Street. Apposing relocated from FACT but before that was based in the Baltic area at Elevator Studios in the Contemporary Urban Centre, which has since closed.

Dave Brown, director of Apposing, said: "We're delighted to be back where we belong – within the heart of Liverpool's creative and digital community, and surrounded by so many fantastic businesses and friends. Having witnessed the new life Baltic Creative has breathed into these buildings, it was a no-brainer in deciding that we had to relocate back to where it all began for us. The community we are now part of is exceptional, with a huge wealth of both talent and variety of industry disciplines. We're so excited about the next stage of our development and the collaborative opportunities being here will provide."

The studio was established in 2009 and has made apps for Chester Zoo, Carphone Warehouse, BBC and Unilever among others.

Apposing joins Baltic Creative tenants including Agent Marketing, Liverpool Sound City, Sparkle VFX and Citrus Suite.

Baltic Creative CIC is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the North West Development Agency.
