Apartment block approved at Liverpool’s Baltic

Liverpool City Council has given the green light to the construction of 44 flats within the Baltic Triangle at its latest planning committee meeting.

The plans for the plot at the corner of Parliament Street and Grafton Street were submitted by the owner, Joe Larkin, who operates a haulage business from the site.

NJSR Architects designed the building, which is made up of a mix of studio, one- and two-bedrooms.

Construction of the six-storey block will see the demolition of the industrial units currently occupying the site.

The scheme is opposite the planned £150m regeneration project at the former Cain’s Brewery site.

The approved application was an outline of the project, with details to be confirmed at a later date.

The Waterfront skyline is looking good. Walking along there on a sunny day like today, it’s a good place to live and getting better all the time. Like the orange and black.
