Anwyl starts Longridge build

The housebuilder has started on its debut project in Longridge featuring a mix of 83 homes on an eight-acre site off Whittingham Road.

Anwyl is to hand over the first of the homes in May next year and is delivering a mix of three and four-bedroom mews, semi-detached, and detached properties on the greenfield site.

The site, named Stonebridge Fold, neighbours another large housing development, the former TDG European Chemicals factory, which is set for 113 homes; Prospect Homes secured consent here in June 2019.

Anwyl secured reserved matters consent for its plot in October last year, following on from an outline application made in 2015. Permission includes a £630,000 Community Infrastructure Levy payment, which will go towards local facilities.

The project is the Deeside-based housebuilder’s first in the Longridge area.

Anwyl Homes Lancashire’s managing director John Grime said: “Close to beautiful areas of open countryside and a thriving network of towns and villages, Lancashire is widely regarded as one of the most desirable places to live in the North West.

“We are pleased to be further enhancing the existing local housing market with a selection of superb new build homes and are expecting strong interest in Stonebridge Fold from a variety of purchasers including first time buyers, young professionals, families and couples.”
