Amaze heads back to Pier Head

Marketing firm Amaze has put 5,000 sq ft in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool under offer as the chosen base for its homecoming to the city.

Amaze, now part of the publicy-listed Hasgrove Group, was founded in Liverpool in the early 1990s as a website development spin-off from Liverpool John Moores University. It later moved to Cheshire and Manchester, closing its Liverpool office prior to a buy-out from administration by Hasgrove. While in Liverpool, the firm was based just two buildings down from the Royal Liver in the Port of Liverpool Building.

The Royal Liver Building, owned by Royal Liver Group, was short-listed along with Exchange Flags and One Derby Square.

The Grade I-listed landmark building at the Pier Head has undergone a partial refurbishment in the past year, with a new entrance and communal areas.

CB Richard Ellis advised Amaze. All parties declined to comment.
