Alliance signs fresh food supplier in Wigan

Trafford-based Property Alliance Group has secured a new tenant at its industrial site South Lancs Central in Wigan.

Fresh Direct, a supplier of fresh produce to the food industry, will open a new regional distribution hub at the site off Lockett Road.

The newcomer has taken 40,000 sq ft of warehouse space with 4,000 sq ft of offices in Unit A3 on a ten-year lease at an undisclosed rent.

Boyd Park of Fresh Direct said: "South Lancs Central provides an ideal warehouse for our company, which is growing quickly in the North West. Its location midway between the region's main cities, Liverpool and Manchester, as well as its easy access to the motorway network, means we can provide optimum service levels for our clients and we look forward to a successful future at our new premises."

There is one remaining 4,000 sq ft unit available on a fenced site of 1.6 acres. Littler Associates and Davies Harrison are joint agents on South Lancs Central.
