Alliance lets Morecambe space to beauty firm
Developer Property Alliance Group has let a 43,500 sq ft industrial unit in Morecambe to manufacturer Design Plus Health & Beauty.
The firm is expanding and will use the property, which is located on the White Lund Industrial Estate four miles from junction 34 of the M6 as its distribution centre.
Ian Hunter, director at Alliance, said: “The previous tenant moved out of the property towards the end of last year and we have since invested £350,000 on a refurbishment to help upgrade the space.
“This combined with the unit’s location make it ideal for Design Plus Health and Beauty. As well as being close to the train station, the property benefits from the new M6 link road, which joins it directly to junction 34 of the M6.”
Mark Dugan, operations director of Design Plus Health & Beauty said: “This lease enables us to significantly expand our business in a location which offers excellent transport links. It allows us to consolidate our multi-site warehousing under one roof in very close proximity to our manufacturing site.”
Established by private owners in 2000, Design Plus is now part of major outsourcer DCC Health & Beauty Solutions.
