Alliance lets 250,000 sq ft in Salford

Property Alliance Group has agreed two short-term leases at Walkden 61 to tissue maker Georgia Pacific and outsourcing giant Capita.

Georgia Pacific, one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of tissue, packaging, paper, and building products, has taken 250,000 sq ft.

Capita has agreed terms on behalf of DVLA to lease a two-acre site for impounding uninsured and untaxed vehicles.

The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Frank Taylor, agency and development associate at Property Alliance Group, said: "We are delighted to have both Georgia Pacific and the DVLA making short-term use of the site whilst we continue to work with national house builders to bring the site forward for medium term residential development."

WHR Property Consultants, Preston O'Herlihy and CBRE are joint agents on the scheme. Gary Chapman, partner at WHR, said: "The quality of tenants that have been attracted to the scheme is impressive, demonstrating their confidence in both the building and the location."
