Allenbuild starts fourth project at Aintree

Construction firm Allenbuild has started work on the refurbishment of an existing radiology clinic on behalf Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The work will provide a new waiting area for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner and is the company's fourth project with the health organisation.

Allenbuild completed the £1.6m diabetes centre of excellence and podiatry unit on the hospital site in north Liverpool, which involved refurbishment of an existing single-storey labour ward building. The unit was officially opened last Friday.

The North West office of Allenbuild, based in Wigan, also won a design and construction contract for the new primary care centre at Kidderminster General Hospital.

The new contracts are worth £5m in total to the firm.
