Aldi extends Stakehill presence

Commercial Estates Group has three lettings at Stakehill Industrial Park in Middleton, achieving a headline rental level of £4.15/sq ft.

Kinectic Security Products and Multi Utility UK both signed five-year leases, on 5,941 sq ft and 5,975 sq ft respectively.

Existing tenant Aldi agreed a two-year lease for a further 36,865 sq ft of warehouse accommodation. Aldi already had 300,000 sq ft in two adjacent units.

Commercial Estates Group bought the 2.5m sq ft park in 200 acres from Aviva in July.

Paul Richardson, asset manager of CEG, said: "We believe that the full potential of the Park is only just being realised now that we have taken ownership and we are firmly committed to improving its offering and establishing Stakehill Industrial Park as one of the North West's leading industrial destinations."

John Barton, surveyor at letting agent WHR, said: "CEG's management of Stakehill has resulted in 48,781 sq ft of new deals being agreed and we have had very positive feedback from the tenants – both new and existing – about the way in which the Park is now being managed. Over the last few weeks, we have carried out a record number of viewings and are in serious talks with other potential occupiers and anticipate that we will be announcing further new lettings very soon."

WHR and Savills are joint letting agents for the scheme.
