Ainscough targets Welsh wind energy market

Standish-based Ainscough Wind Energy Services, a subsidiary of Ainscough Crane Hire, has opened an office in Wales to serve the area's growing renewables market.

The serviced office in Lampeter, Ceredigion, will be headed by Andy Ling, who is relocating from Leyland.

Ling, operations general manager at AWES, said: "We are confident that this new office space will increase our presence in Wales and help us to drive new business locally and UK-wide. There is great wind farm development potential in Wales and locating an office here will really aid us in providing an exceptional service for our clients."

Ainscough Wind has been working on a number of projects for npower across Wales and is in negotiations with an undisclosed party to start work on a number of other sites.
