Ainscough establishes heavyweight division

Ainscough Crane Hire is to set up a heavy lift projects division aimed at the petrochemical and power sectors.

Ainscough, based in Standish near Wigan, said it had experience in the sector already, including petrochemical shutdown activity and installation and maintenance support for the wind turbine industry. The new division will build on this to offer full-service solutions to clients' most complex heavy lift requirements.

Ainscough heavy crane crawlerSteve Wathen, commercial director of heavy cranes at Ainscough, said: "Our Heavy Lift Projects division offers a comprehensive solution that goes beyond a hire-only contract to provide full turnkey project management.

"From feasibility studies and technical planning, to logistical co-ordination; we take an integrated approach that provides a fully managed, cost effective lifting solution."

Ainscough is the UK's largest crane operator and has an extensive heavy lift crane fleet, including new lattice boom cranes offering lifting capacities of up to 1,250 tonnes.
