Ainscough clinches three land deals

Ainscough Strategic Land has signed land promotion agreements for three sites that would together bring 700 homes to the market once planning consent is secured.

Under the deals signed with undisclosed private landowners, Ainscough will oversee the planning process for housing developments at two sites in Cheshire and one in Warrington. The parcels of land would then be put up for sale to housebuilders.

The Leigh-based strategic land company works with landowners to secure planning permission for housing or mixed-use developments, and shares in the uplift in value once the land is sold with planning permission attached. Ainscough reported £10.6m of revenues from land sales intended to deliver a total of 830 homes, according to the company’s latest financial figures.

David O’Reilly, land director at Ainscough, said: “This is a good start to the year and vindicates our strong working relationship with land owners and their agents across the country.”

“The fundamentals of the UK housing market remain strong and with a growing population we need to find space to house people. We are looking to secure further opportunities across the UK.”
