Administrators sell park hotel

Colliers International has sold the Blenhiem Lakeside Hotel, Liverpool on the instructions of joint administrators Lindsey Cooper and Russell Cash of Baker Tilly.

The hotel has been acquired by hotel operator Connor O'Donovan for an undisclosed sum. Blenheim is located in Sefton Park, overlooking the boating lake and has 16 bedrooms together with a themed bar restaurant and small function rooms catering for private functions. The hotel was once the family residence of Stuart Sutcliffe, an original member of The Beatles.

Neil Thomson, director of Colliers International in Manchester, said: "We undertook an intensive local and regional marketing campaign which quickly attracted strong levels of interest from both hotel operators and developers alike.

"Despite the lack of funding available to buyers, the sale highlights the strength of the market for realistically priced hotels located in the right areas."
